A Fun, All-Natural Experience!

We offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity for children to be active by working on a farm and to learn about nutrition by growing, harvesting and cooking with fresh seasonal food.  The authentic farm provides a natural environment to engage children and help them adopt healthy behaviors. Weekly parent workshops give parents the skills necessary to support healthy living at home.

HealthBarn USA brings together a credentialed team of food, nutrition and agriculture experts who teach the children important environmental concepts such as local and organic farming; sustainability; composting; recycling; and animal stewardship.  This unique, hands-on program was developed with guidance from our esteemed advisory board and in collaboration with our academic partner – Rutgers Cooperative Extension.  Click meet our team to learn more.

Cutting-Edge Programs:

The unique, hands-on curricula are designed to reflect the needs of children and their families.  It was developed by the HealthBarn USA team in collaboration with Dr. Debra Palmer Keenan and her research team from the nutrition sciences department at Rutgers Extension at Cook College and Joel Flagler and his team of master gardeners at Rutgers Extension of Bergen County, a part of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station.

The programs are overseen by our esteemed advisory board, which is comprised of some of the country’s leading professionals in food, nutrition and health. Learn more about our advisory board.
