THE SEEDLINGS PROGRAM, ages 3-5: This nurturing hands-on experience is designed to introduce children at a young age to try a variety of seasonal foods. The 10-week program is offered weekday mornings, early afternoons and Saturday mornings during the fall, winter and spring seasons (the summer program follows a different schedule) and includes cooking with seasonal foods, sustainable planting and nature activities, arts & crafts, exercise and visits to the animals! Parents receive weekly recipes to support family activities at home.
“Only after one month at HealthBarn USA, my 3 year old daughter is bringing her gardening tools to the backyard instead of her toys and she is helping me prepare food in the kitchen. She only liked tomatoes in a sauce, but now she is eating raw cherry tomatoes straight from the vine,” a Seedling mom.
