Believe it or not, we are eating cookies at HealthBarn USA!  These energy packed treats are (of course) made with all-natural ingredients and taste really good!  Not only does this cookie have a lot of protein to help our bodies grow, but they are also fun to make in a group…and you don’t have to bake them at all!  Refrigerate the extras, so they are handy as an after-school snack. Many parents are looking for healthy grab-n-go treats — this is a great solution!

Ingredients:

1½ cups whole grain cereal*
1 cup natural creamy peanut butter (or other nut butter, so sun butter for allergies)
¼ cup honey
¼ cup + 2 tablespoons instant nonfat dry milk powder (or other protein powder)
3 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In bowl, crush cereal into very small pieces. Add peanut butter, honey, dry milk, and chocolate chips.  With hand or spoon, mix together to form a ball.
  2. Scoop one heaping teaspoon and roll into a 1-inch-round cookie and repeat with remaining cookie dough. Let set 10 minutes to firm up. If not eating right away, wrap and refrigerate up to 1 week.

Makes 18 servings (1 cookie per serving).
