My daughter runs out of the house each morning without eating breakfast. Is this habit that bad?

Organic, all natural granola bars are a great option for breakfast on the go.

Kids who eat breakfast perform better in school, have fewer disciplinary problems, and focus better in the classroom, according to a significant body of research findings!  Sure, you’ve always heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but it’s really true!  Breakfast gives the body the fuel it needs to start the day.  It also helps regulate your metabolism and appetite throughout the day.

It can be hard to get everyone to sit down for breakfast on busy weekdays, but as your daughter runs out of the house, make sure she’s got some breakfast in hand for the road!  Some healthy, portable options include a banana, a granola bar (check for natural ingredients), or a yogurt smoothie in a to-go cup.  This will help make sure she gets the good nutrition she needs to be her best!  And, parents, this counts for you too!  Make sure to start your day with a nutritious breakfast and you’ll see your morning focus and productivity skyrocket.
