
Right out of the oven!
Calling All Cookie Monsters! Meet the new HealthBarn favorite! Our delicious chocolate chip cookies are baked with wholesome ingredients and packed with homemade goodness — a sweet treat parents can feel good about sharing (or saving for themselves!).
Ingredients:
½ cup whole wheat flour
½ cup white flour
¼ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup ground flaxseeds
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons molasses
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place parchment paper on two baking sheets.
- Combine flours, sea salt, baking soda and ground flaxseeds in a medium mixing bowl.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, vanilla extract, brown sugar, egg and molasses and mix until smooth.
- In small batches, dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Fold in chocolate chips in the mixture.
- Using a tablespoon measure, place cookies onto two baking sheets spaced apart.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly for 1-2 minutes and then transfer cookies to wire racks to cool before serving.
Makes 12 servings (1 cookie per serving).
